Teen Ministry
Faith Baptist Teen Ministries is about watching God change young people’s lives. Even without having met, we know that every person alive, even teenagers, have chosen to sin and they need to know the powerful forgiveness of God, found only in Jesus Christ, the Son of God.If you’ll take the challenge of visiting the youth program of Faith Baptist Church, you will be faced with the truth of the Gospel ---- what is it…how can I accept it…what will it mean for me?
When someone asks God to forgive them and to make them one of His children, that person is saved. Is that the end of the story? Not even close…it’s just the beginning. There is so much for a teenager to learn about Christ and all that He can do for them. We call that becoming a disciple, or a follower of Jesus Christ, which simply means that we are learning what the Bible says and asking God to help us to put it into practice in our life.
How do we do Youth Ministry?
Our focus is on teens coming to Christ and learning about walking with Him every day. Our top priorities are things that some would say are impossible…a great relationship with your parents, how to live my teen years in a way that really does please God, how to prepare to make upcoming decisions that will affect the rest of my life.
Being a Christian teenager can be a lot of fun, and that’s why we try to have some youth activities that are a lot of fun. But we all know that only having fun can become kind of empty and that’s why we go beyond having fun and challenge teenagers with serious Bible study and we challenge them with opportunities to serve Jesus Christ. We’ll have a great time, but you might even find yourself challenged to watch God do something incredible in your life.
All this translates into being a part of a Teen Class that meets every Sunday morning at 10:00a.m., which is really the best time to come and meet us. We also have regular Youth Fellowship Activities as well as a really neat Youth Discipleship Program.
